Monday heat breaks temperature records across southern Ontario

Monday’s hot and humid weather led to several temperature records to be broken across southern Ontario today.
Environment Canada says temperature records were broken in Sarnia, Windsor Airport and Toronto’s Pearson Airport with temperatures measuring in the low to mid-30’s.
Here’s a breakdown of today’s record-setting temperatures:
Toronto Pearson International Airport
New Record of 33.1
Old Record was 32.4 set in 2007
Records started in 1938
Windsor Airport
New Record of 34.3
Old Record was 33.3 set in 1954
Records started in 1941
Sarnia Area
New Record of 33.1
Old Record was 33.0 set in 1988
Records started in 1926
The heat warning, which was in effect since the weekend, was lifted on Tuesday morning.
