Bedroom fire at downtown apartment sends 1 person to hospital

One person is in hospital after a fire at a downtown apartment building.
The fire began on Maitland Street, near Church and Wellesley streets, around 11:25 p.m. on Tuesday.
The fire began in the bedroom, but the cause is not known, Toronto police said.
The person who was taken to hospital had burns on their hand. They were also treated for smoke inhalation.
The building was partially evacuated but residents have since been allowed to return home.
