A public town hall is scheduled for Wednesday evening in Niagara Falls to discuss saving 1400 jobs at Niagara Casinos, private-sector union Unifor said in a statement.
The union says an ongoing Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation request for proposals process could jeopardize jobs in the region.
It says massive job cuts were revealed by a third-party consultant in an advisory report about modernizing Casino Niagara and Fallsview Casino.
The majority of the workers at the Niagara Casinos are not unionized.
