Injuries reported after alleged gun battle in Scarborough: police

Police descended on an area of Scarborough after an apparent gun battle between the occupants of two vehicles on Wednesday afternoon.
Shortly after 5 p.m., officers received reports of people shooting at each other from two vehicles near Warden and Sherwood avenues, south of Lawrence.
One of the drivers lost control and crashed on the front lawn of a home on Warden. The people in that car ran off before police arrived.
When officers arrived they found an abandoned vehicle as well as some blood inside.
West of the area, they found a man in his 20s with serious injuries. Paramedics took him to hospital and he is expected to recover.
Several suspects were seen heading north on Warden in a black SUV.
Police want to speak with anyone with video from dash-cams and home security cameras.
