Around 12:30 a.m. on Monday, April 17, an 18-year-old woman was on the Scarborough RT platform when a man started talking to her.

She said he then sexually assaulted her and followed her as she walked away and onto the train.

The man got off the train at Scarborough Centre Station and reportedly followed another woman.

Kaganeswaran Kuganes Yoganayagam, of Toronto, surrendered to police on Tuesday. Police arrested him and charged him with sexual assault and criminal harassment.

He appeared in court on Wednesday morning.
