Man charged after injured dog left at Brampton McDonald’s

By News Staff

Peel police have arrested a Brampton man in the case of a severely injured dog left outside a fast-food restaurant earlier this month.

He and another man were seen with the Yorkshire Terrier on the patio of the McDonald’s at Bramalea Road and Sandalwood Parkway around 3 a.m. on Saturday, April 15.

They left the dog behind, and employees later found it and took it to a vet. The Yorkie was so badly injured, it had to be put down.

On Tuesday, police arrested a 29-year-old man and charged him with cruelty to animals. He’s due in court on June 8.

They’re still looking for the second man.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
