The search for a missing Toronto man has ended in tragedy.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Ashbridges Bay shortly before 1 p.m. following the discovery of body.

Earlier, the police Marine Unit reported they had located a boat believed to be connected to the disappearance of a 38-year-old Toronto man.

Around 3 p.m., police confirmed the body recovered was that of David Ramphalie, who was last seen on Friday morning in the Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East area. At the time, police said they believed he may be in local waters in a small, 10-foot boat powered by a trolling motor.

Police say no foul play is suspected in Ramphalie’s death.
