Man has serious injuries in east-end plaza stabbing

A man in his 30s is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was stabbed in the city’s east end.
Toronto police were called to Military Trail and Old Kingston Road near the University of Toronto’s Scarborough campus around 1:45 a.m. on Thursday.
Police say an altercation took place in a parking lot of a plaza.
The man was stabbed with some sort of an edged weapon and a broken bottle. Paramedics say he was stabbed multiple times.
Several people were seen running away from the scene.
There is no word on suspects.
