5 people hurt, 1 in custody, after DVP crash

Five people are hurt and one person is in custody after a crash on the Don Valley Parkway early on Thursday morning.
The two-vehicle crash happened on the southbound ramp to Bayview-Bloor around 5:45 a.m.
A Kia and a pick-up truck collided, a witness at the scene said.
One person had to be cut out of the pick-up truck, paramedics said. That person’s injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
The driver of the Kia is suspected of impaired driving, police said. He is being taken to hospital.
