Toronto police have issued a public safety alert after a string of sexual assaults in the same part of Scarborough.

All three assaults have taken place in the Warden and McNicoll avenues area.

The first incident took place on Feb. 18, at around 6:30 p.m. Police say a 53-year-old woman was walking when she was approached from behind by a man who sexually assaulted her.

A week later, on Feb. 25, a 25-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted after getting off a bus in the same area. The suspect fled on foot.

Police believe the same man is responsible for both attacks. He’s described as a black man in his early 20s. He’s between five-foot tall and five-foot-six, with a thin-to-medium build.

The most recent attack happened on Tuesday at around 4:20 p.m. Police say a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted after being approached from behind while walking.

The suspect in that incident is described as a brown male in his mid 20s. He’s between five-foot-seven and five-foot-nine-inches tall with a slim build. He has black hair and wears glasses and all-black clothing.
