Woman struck by car in east end, has serious injuries

By News staff

A 65-year-old woman has life-threatening injuries after she was struck by a car in the city’s east end, paramedics say.

Emergency crews were called to Warden Avenue and Bridletown Circle near Finch Avenue East just before 6:15 a.m. on Tuesday.

It appears the woman was crossing at a signalized crosswalk when she was hit. However, it is not clear if she waited for the light to turn green.

She was rushed to hospital with head injuries.

The driver remained at the scene.

Warden is closed in both directions between Finch and Huntingwood Drive as police investigate.
