Man dies in industrial accident near waterfront

A man in his 40s has died after an industrial accident near the Toronto waterfront.

Paramedics were called to a construction site at Lower Jarvis Street and Queen’s Quay East just before 11:30 a.m. on Monday.

The man was taken to the hospital in life threatening condition and later succumbed to his injuries.

A Ministry of Labour spokesperson told 680 NEWS that concrete paneling fell onto the man while it was being unloaded.

Police are no longer involved in the case. The Ministry of Labour continues to investigate.
