Husband-and-wife team wanted for fraud

By News Staff

Toronto police are searching for a husband-and-wife team they believe are responsible for defrauding people of their life savings.

It’s alleged that between between 2014 and 2016, the couple operated a financial investment and mortgage brokerage company called Keystone Financial Services, in the Warden Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East area.

The couple allegedly encouraged clients to invest funds in various financial schemes that turned out to be fake.

Police said some of the investors were defrauded of their life savings.

Authorities were first notified of the fraud after an investor called the offices of Keystone Financial Services only to find they were closed down.

Arrest warrants have been issued for Khurt Comrie, 40, and Collett Comrie, 44.

Police said their last known address was in Pickering.

The couple are wanted for fraud over $5,000.

Anyone who believes they may be victims, or anyone with information, is asked to contact Det.-Const. Stewart Fleming at 416-808-7318.
