Police dog OK after crash on Hwy. 401 in Pickering

One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries after a crash on Highway 401 on Wednesday morning.
Earlier Wednesday, a tractor-trailer had jack-knifed on the eastbound express lanes near Whites Road.
Durham police were called in, including the canine unit, and two police cars were stopped on the shoulder of the road.
A second driver, who was not involved in the tractor-trailer crash, then hit the two police cars around 1:30 a.m. There was a dog in one of the cars, but the dog was not hurt.
That second driver was taken to hospital.
