Man charged with impaired driving after two car crash in the east end

A 22-year-old man is facing impaired driving charges in connection with an early morning east end crash.

Police say just after 3 a.m. Sunday morning, a Honda Odyssey travelling eastbound on Eglinton Avenue approaching Danforth Road when it struck a blue Saturn from behind.

A 49-year-old man who was driving the Saturn was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Two other people in the car suffered serious injuries.

The driver of the Odyssey was arrested at the scene and faces several charges including dangerous driving causing bodily harm and impaired operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm.
