Toddler, 10-year-old, among four killed in crash west of Timmins

A mother, her two children, and her mother were killed in a collision about 70 kilometres west of Timmins on Thursday morning.

Another driver had minor injuries.

The collision, between an SUV and a commercial vehicle, happened around 10:25 a.m. on Highway 101, the Ontario provincial police said.

Officers said two adults and two children died in the collision, and another adult was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

According to the GoFundMe page, a woman, her two daughters, and her mother were killed in the crash. The funds raised will help the family with funeral expenses.

The OPP identified the people killed as Paulette MacLeod, 61; Aynsley MacLeod, 29; Jamaal MacLeod-Nagokee, 10, and three-year-old Kruz Nagokee. They were the only four people in the SUV.

The driver of the commercial vehicle, 38-year-old Wade Bass, has since been released from hospital.

OPP say the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
