A fog advisory that was issued by Environment Canada for the GTA early Wednesday morning has been lifted.

The advisory ended for Toronto and others areas of the GTA just after 1 p.m.

Drivers and pedestrians encountered near-zero visibility during the morning commute and were advised to take extra precautions.

680 NEWS meteorologist Jill Taylor said the rest of the day will be cloudy in Toronto, with a high of 11 C. Parts of southwestern Ontario could be near 19 C, she said.

She said the fog is expected to return in the evening. There’s also a chance of showers, and the temperature will be steady around 11 C.
