Suspect wanted in double assault in Brampton

Police in Peel Region are searching for a suspect in connection with a pair of assaults.

Police say the attacks happened within six hours of each other on Thursday. In the first incident, a woman was walking on Mackay Street north of North Park Drive in Brampton around 10 a.m. when she was approached by a male. The suspect grabbed her by the shoulders but she managed to break free and escape without suffering any injuries.

Later on, around 4 p.m., a woman was walking in Maitland Park in Brampton when she was approached by a man from behind. He grabbed her arm and spun her around however she too managed to break free and escape without any injuries.

The suspect is described as male, black, around five-foot-10 with a slim build. He had a thin moustache with possible short braids or afro-style hair. He was wearing a dark grey or black hooded jacket and black baggy pants.
