Victim identified in fatal Oshawa shooting

Durham Regional police have identified the victim in a fatal shooting in Oshawa on Wednesday.
Darius Thorne, 18, of no fixed address, was found with a gunshot wound in the hallway of an apartment building on Quebec Street, near Simcoe and Gibb, around 1:30 p.m.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
Police do not believe the shooting was random and the homicide unit has taken over the investigation.
