Three suspects sought in Richmond Hill jewelry theft

Police in York Region are on the hunt for three suspects wanted in connection with a jewelry theft from a Richmond Hill department store just before Christmas.

Around 4:45 p.m. on Dec. 22 three suspects walked into the department store in the Major Mackenzie Drive and Bayview Avenue area.

It’s alleged the suspects forced open a jewelry display case and stole gold rings.

Police have released security video of the three suspects entering the store.

Investigators are hoping someone comes forward to identify the suspects.

The first suspect is a white male, between five-foot-five and five-foot-six with dark brown hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a grey winter jacket with a fur-trimmed hood, blue jeans, and grey and black shoes.

The second suspect is also a white male, between five-foot-nine and five-foot-eleven, weighing around 160 pounds and short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a grey winter jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt, a red Volcom brand T-shirt, black sweat pants, black and white shoes, and sunglasses.

The third suspect is a white female, five-foot-five, weighing around 130 pounds with black hair. She was last seen wearing a grey, red and black jacket, a red and black plaid shirt, a white undershirt, ripped blue jeans, white wool socks, light brown boots and a gold necklace. She was carrying a large, black leather purse.
