Police searching for suspect after shots fired into Markham home

By News Staff

York regional police are searching for the suspects after someone opened fire on a Markham home.

Police were called to the home on Riseborough Circuit, north of Warden and Steeles avenues, around 10:30 p.m. on Monday.

They say they found bullets inside the home and shell casings in the driveway.

Seven adults and two children were home at the time. They were not injured.

The suspect was wearing a black jacket and gloves, police say, and it is believed to have left the scene in a black sedan, possibly a BMW. It was the passenger of the car that opened fire, police said.

Officers do not believe the attack was random.

Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
