Porter Airlines flights resume after system outage

By News Staff

Porter Airlines says its flights have started departing again after a system outage on Saturday afternoon.

The Toronto-based airline says Saturday afternoons are typically not as busy, and the delays affected about 400 passengers on five flights.

“The system is now operating normally. Flights have started departing,” spokesman Brad Cicero said in an email.

“We will be reviewing the circumstances to determine specifically what caused the issue.”

All passengers will have the option of flying on Saturday, Sunday or receiving a full refund.

“We apologize for delays that anyone experienced today,” Cicero said.

Porter operates flights out of Toronto’s island airport to and from cities across Canada, and seven locations in the U.S.
