By News Staff

A woman is in hospital with a broken femur after she was hit by her own car on Monday night.

Toronto police say a man stole the car as it was left running outside a home in the downtown core.

A neighbour called police to say a car had been stolen from a home on Seaton Street south of Gerrard Street around 10:55 p.m. The neighbour also said the woman was hit.

The car was found several hours later, near Gerrard and Broadview Avenue.

Police are still looking for the suspect. He is white, 40 to 50 years old, with a thin build. He was wearing a dark coat with the hood up.
