Man in his 20s seriously injured in North York shooting

A man in his 20s suffered serious injuries after being shot in North York on Friday night.

Paramedics tell 680 News the man was rushed to a trauma centre following a shooting in the Jane Street and Highway 401 area around 7:30 p.m.

Police are investigating two crime scenes, one at the MacDonald’s on the west side of Jane Street and one at the TCH apartment complex located on Falstaff Avenue.

One stray bullet hit a window at the Falstaff Early Learning and Child Care Centre, which is where police believe the shooting started. The victim then ran westbound across Jane to the McDonald’s.

No word yet on any suspects.
