The motive for the shooting is not yet known and there’s no word on suspects.
Det.-Sgt. Mike Patterson told reporters on Thursday that Kaloshi is known to police but did not elaborate on the circumstances.
Police are asking anyone who was at the club to contact them. Patterson said some attendees have already provided statements to police.
Investigators are also seeking security camera footage from residents and businesses in the area.
Kaloshi is the city’s 64th murder victim of the year.
