Suspect arrested in east-end Toronto bank robbery

By News staff

Toronto police have arrested a man who allegedly robbed a bank in the city’s east end last month.

Police say just before 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 13, a man walked into a bank in the Sheppard Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue area and demanded money from a teller. He indicated he had a gun in his pocket, but the teller never saw the weapon.

The suspect was given money and then fled the scene.

On Tuesday, police released a security camera image of the suspect. He was arrested later that day.

James Joseph Davidson, 45, of Keswick, is charged with robbery. He appeared in court on Wednesday.
