Three injured in two separate shootings in Toronto

Two separate shootings have sent three people to hospital in Toronto overnight.

Police are looking for three suspects after a man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries in a shooting in Don Mills.

A 25-year-old man was shot at Don Mills Road and Fairview Mall Drive near Sheppard just before 6 a.m. Saturday. Police say the victim was talking with some friends when they were approached by three men, one of whom produced a handgun and began firing on the group. The suspects then fled south on Don Mills.

Paramedics say the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken to hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Police say they are looking for three suspects, but the only description they have at this time is three black males all wearing black clothing.

Meanwhile, police were called to a Toronto Community Housing complex in the area of Rathburn Road and the East Mall following reports of shots being fired around 2 a.m..

Paramedics tell CityNews two men in their 20s suffered gunshot wounds. One victim was in critical condition after being shot in the torso, while the second victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after being shot in the hip.
