Border patrol seeks name of alleged draft dodger, 47 years later

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is looking to identify a man who entered the country in 1969, 47 years ago.
The only information it is releasing are four photos and his possible age: over 65. The CBSA hasn’t said what he’s accused of, why officials are asking for information now, or what name he was using at the time of his arrest.
It said Wednesday the man has not revealed his “true identity” and officials are looking for his name.
The man arrived in Montreal from New York City on Aug. 2, 1969, the CBSA said.
He claimed he entered Canada to evade the military draft. He’s now in custody under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
The CBSA says the man is a flight risk, and is inadmissible to Canada. Border officials believe he has family in New York or in the United States. The CBSA says he arrived on a train in Montreal that departed from New York City.
