Young boy injured after being struck by pick-up in Brampton

A young child has been taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Brampton.

Peel police say the boy, believed to be either 5 or 6 years old, was struck by a pick-up truck just after 5 p.m. on Ardglen Drive in Brampton, near Sir Winston Churchill Public School.

The child was conscious and breathing when emergency personnel arrived on scene. He was first taken to a local hospital before being transferred to Sick Kids.

Except for a nosebleed, the boy’s injuries are unknown at this time.
