Cyclist’s death in south Etobicoke deemed suspicious: police

Police are treating a man’s death in south Etobicoke as suspicious.
Paramedics say they were called to Evans Avenue, south of Royal York Road, shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday.
A 67-year-old man was found without a pulse, lying on the road close to a blue Infinity bicycle. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
He is white and clean-shaven, with long grey-silver hair. He was wearing a red jacket, black track pants, black socks, and black running shoes. His bike had a black milk crate strapped to the front.
Police are asking anyone who say the cyclist on Evans Avenue between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. Saturday to call them at 416-808-1900 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
An autopsy will be performed.
