Man wanted for second-degree murder in Toronto turns himself in to Halifax police

A man wanted the second-degree murder of a 47-year-old man who was found dead in a Davenport Road home, turned himself into police in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Halifax police received a call to a residence where the man wanted for second-degree murder in Toronto turned himself into police.

On Sept. 22, officers arrived on scene near Davenport Road and Old Weston Road around 2:30 p.m., and found a deceased man.

The man has been identified as David Brennan, 47, who did live in Toronto but of no fixed address. A post-mortem revealed the man suffered multiple blunt-force trauma injuries.

Police said Brake and the victim were acquaintance for an extended period of time.

Anthony Brake, 46, of Toronto has been charged with second-degree murder and will be transported back to Toronto for a court appearance.
