By News Staff

Forget the prune juice and stool softener, Durham Regional police say they’ve seized some serious drugs, cash, and weapons from an Uxbridge senior’s building.

Police say they received tips from the public about possible drug activity at the building on Perry Street.

A search warrant was executed last Thursday and three people were arrested after police seized more than $30,000 worth of cash and drugs, alleging some of it was found hidden in the walls.

A rifle with ammunition was also seized.

The drugs included 10 marijuana plants, hash, cocaine, and opiates.

Illegal cigarettes were also allegedly found on the premises.

William Theakston, 67, and Kevin Stoner, 50, both of Uxbridge, are facing a slew of charges including production of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking and careless storage of a firearm.

A third person, Miranda Lehtinen, 33 of Uxbridge, faces a single count of possession of a controlled substance (oxycodone).
