Teen charged, suspect at large after shooting at Domino’s Pizza in Brampton

Police have charged a 17-year-old boy in connection with a shooting at a Domino’s Pizza in Brampton late Friday night.

Around 11:30 p.m., two suspects went into the restaurant at Hurontario Street and Wexford Road, near Bovaird Drive. They allegedly robbed the place and shot one of the employees in the chest.

The 24-year-old Brampton man was taken to Sunnybrook hospital, where he is in serious but stable condition.

Soon after the incident, a teen turned up at a local hospital needing treatment for a gunshot wound. Investigators learned he was in fact one of the two suspects they were looking for.

He was arrested and charged with robbery, attempted murder, and wear disguise with intent. He was held for a bail hearing and will appear in a Brampton court.

The second suspect is male, black, with a medium build and wearing dark clothing. He should be considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached.

Police are also asking witnesses to come forward.
