Police release name, seek more information in fatal Vaughan hit-and-run

By News Staff

York Regional Police have released the name of a man who was the victim of a fatal hit-and-run in Vaughan earlier this week.

Police say Adam Colucci of Woodbridge was found severely injured in the area of Highway 7 and Keele Street around 11:30 p.m. Monday night.

He died a short time later.

Investigators believe he left the Pinecrest Motel a short time before his body was found on the highway, just west of the motel. He was wearing a black t-shirt, dark coloured jeans and light-coloured boots.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have driven through the area between 11:15 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Monday night that may have seen something or may have a dashcam in their vehicle to come forward.

They’ve also appealed to the drive who hit the victim to turn themselves in.
