Two pedestrians injured in west-end crash

Two pedestrians have been rushed to hospital after they were struck by a vehicle in the Weston Road and St Clair Avenue West area.

Emergency crews were called to the scene just after 12:30 p.m. on Friday.

Paramedics said a man in his 20s was struck by the vehicle and thrown several feet. He was rushed to a local trauma centre with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The second pedestrian, a woman in her 30s, also suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
