Sketch released of suspect in Humber River Trail sex assault

Police have released a composite sketch of a man accused of assaulting a 39-year-old woman on the Humber River Trail in Vaughan last week.

The woman said around 2 p.m. Thursday, she was walking with her family on the trail — near Islington Avenue and Rutherford Road — when a man approached and sexually assaulted her.

She said he is white, 30 to 35 years old, five-foot-seven, with a thin build, round face, short, black hair and a black beard. He was wearing black sunglasses, a blue T-shirt, black jeans, black shoes and he was carrying a black knapsack.

Sexual assault is any form of unwanted sexual contact, including kissing, grabbing, oral sex and penetration.
