Two Halton police officers injured during domestic dispute arrest

Two Halton Regional Police officers suffered knife cuts while attending a domestic dispute call in Burlington.

Police were called to a home on Plains Road East just before 4:30 p.m. to deal with a man armed with a knife, threatening family members. While attempting to arrest the suspect, the officers were injured. Police used a taser to subdue the suspect.

The officers were taken to a local hospital, however, it’s not known the severity of their injuries. There are also reports that two of the family members also suffered cuts.

No charges have been announced.
