Scarborough bar stabbing now attempted murder, suspect sought

Toronto police are searching for the suspect in an attempted murder after a 53-year-old man was stabbed in the neck and arm several times at a Scarborough bar.
Officers arrived on scene near Lawrence Avenue and Susan Street, east of Scarborough Golf Club Road, around 11:30 p.m. on Monday.
According to police, the victim and a 44-year-old man became involved in a physical altercation inside the bar.
Police said the victim was bleeding badly when they arrived, and was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
By Tuesday morning, police said he was in stable condition after surgery and is expected to survive.
The victim knew the suspect, police said, and investigators also know the suspect.
Bryan Danvers, 44, of Toronto has been identified as the suspect. Police said he is a black and five-foot-ten-inches tall.
Police are asking that he surrender to police.
