Toronto police looking for armed man wanted in tax office robbery

The hold-up squad for the Toronto police are looking for an armed man they say robbed a tax office in the city’s northwest end.

Police say a man with a black handgun demanded money from the receptionist, manager and accountant at the Liberty Tax office in the Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue West area.

While armed, the man took the three to the back of the building where the cash office is located and then kicked the locked door open.

The ordered the victims to lie on the floor while pointing the gun at them.

He then grabbed cash and ran away.

Police say the man is black, 30-40, 5’9”-6’0”, medium build, with stained, front, top teeth.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a forest camouflage fisherman-style hat, green long-sleeve shirt, dark gloves and pants, and black shoes.
