A Georgetown woman was arrested for allegedly assaulting a six-year-old girl at Halton Hills Walmart on Sunday night.

Police say that Jennifer Young Rattry, 39, grabbed the girl by her hair and threw her to the ground.

The girl’s head hit the ground and she lost a tooth.

Halton police say the woman and the girl don’t know each other and that the assault was unprovoked.

The woman then went through the store and allegedly assaulted four more people.

Police say she hadn’t been drinking alcohol, and don’t know if she had consumed drugs. They say they do not know about the state of her mental health.

She’s been charged with assault causing bodily harm on the six-year-old. She’s also been charged with four other counts of assault.

Police say that the child’s parents will not talk to the media.
