A 34-year-old Mississauga man is under arrest in connection with a human trafficking investigation.
Peel Regional Police say in early March 2015 a 24-year-old female was lured into the sex trade industry by the suspect, who profited from her acts while exercising control over all aspects of her life.
Police say Lowell Somerville was arrested on Thursday near Midland, Ontario and charged with nine offences including human trafficking, exercise control and advertising for sexual services.
Investigators say there may be additional victims and are appealing for them to come forward by calling police or Crime Stoppers.
