Seven homes under construction up in flames in Brampton

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office is investigating after seven homes under construction went up in flames in Brampton.

The first fire began near McVean and Countryside drives around 3 p.m. on Thursday.

There were three separate fires within 12 hours, Brampton Fire said. The second fire was at 10 p.m. and the third was at 1:30 a.m. on Friday.

The homes were in the early stages of construction and no one was living in them. No injuries have been reported.

The damage is estimated at more than $500,000.

The cause of the fire is still not known.
