Man in 20’s suffers leg injury in Brampton shooting

Peel Region Police are searching for a suspect after a man in his 20’s was shot Friday afternoon in Brampton.
Police say the 25-year-old victim suffered non-life threatening injuries after being shot in the lower leg shortly after 1 p.m. in the Kirk Drive and Castlehill Road are, which is near Chinguacousy Road and Williams Parkway.
Police have not yet released a description of the suspect yet or details of what occurred.
Several schools in Brampton were under a hold and secure order for several hours following the shooting, however, that has now been lifted.
