Suspect wanted after woman sexually assaulted on TTC streetcar

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted for sexual assault after an incident on Sunday around 2 a.m.

Police said a woman was travelling on a TTC streetcar in the area of John Street and Queen Street West when a man boarded the streetcar and sat beside her.

The man then sexually assaulted her and when she left the streetcar, at Broadview Subway Station, the man followed her on foot.

The woman lost sight of the man shortly before arriving home and called police.

Police said the suspect is described as Hispanic, slim, 30 to 35 years old, five-foot-three to five-foot-four, around 110 to 120 lbs and with short black hair.

During the incident he was wearing a white tank top, blue jeans, blue-and-white running shoes, a black spring jacket, a blue, beaded rosary necklace and also a silver necklace. Police also said he had pimples on the back of his shoulders.
