Man charged with first-degree murder in double shooting

A 24-year-old Toronto man has been charged with first-degree murder after a double shooting in a Scarborough parking lot.
Police were called to the Parkway Plaza, in the area of Ellesmere Road and Victoria Park Avenue, just before 10 p.m. on Friday after shots were fired at a vehicle.
Det. Sgt. Gary Giroux said two people in their 20s were returning to their car from the LCBO when the shooting happened.
Joseph Anzolona, 26, of Toronto and Cynthia Mullapudi, 24, of Markham were rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries where they later died.
On Sunday, police arrested Harris Nnane. He has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
