Three Toronto men charged in robbery of a taxi driver

Three men have been arrested in connection with the robbery of a Toronto taxi driver last month.

Police say the cab was flagged down in the Spadina and Queen West area by three men and a woman in the early morning hours of Saturday, Jan. 16.

The group asked to be taken to the Danforth and Pape area.

When they got there, one of the men said he had a knife and ordered the driver out of the taxi.

Police say the suspects rummaged through the cab and stole $200.

Security camera images helped police find the three men. Hayden Companion, 20, Yianni Liarokos, 22, and Alexander Mylonas, 22, all of Toronto, all face robbery charges. Companion is also charged with carrying a concealed weapon.

The three are scheduled to appear in court on Mar. 17.
