Toronto police release photos of suspect in weekend stabbing

Toronto police have released images of a man wanted in connection to a stabbing investigation.

According to police, the incident occurred on Saturday at around 12:30 a.m. in the Adelaide and Simcoe streets area.

Police say a 24-year-old man was seated in a restaurant when he got into an argument with another man, which quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.

During the altercation, the 24-year-old man was stabbed several times.

The suspect fled westbound on Adelaide Street West.

Police are asking anyone with information to call them.

Update: Police initially said a robbery took place but later issued a correction saying that was not the case.
