Woman dead after apartment fire in Parkdale

A woman is dead after an apartment fire in Parkdale near King Street West and Jameson Avenue, paramedics said.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on Jameson Avenue near King Street West just before 1 p.m. Saturday.
Fire officials said one person was found in life-threatening condition in a unit on the 5th floor.
It took firefighters 30 minutes to find the fire in the building.
There has been no word on what started the fire but officials said there were no working smoke alarms in the unit.
