Man charged with impaired after SUV crashes into construction site

A man in his 50s in facing a charge of impaired driving after his SUV ended up in a construction site.

York police allege the driver hit a parked car at Midland and Steeles avenues around 10 p.m. on Wednesday. The SUV then spun out into a construction site.

The driver was taken to hospital, where he was treated for a head injury.

He has since been released and charged with impaired driving.

Police say no one else was involved and no other injuries were reported.
