Woman faces impaired charges after fatal SUV crash

A 53-year-old Toronto woman is facing multiple charges, including impaired driving, after a fatal crash over the weekend.
Around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday police were called to the scene at Derrydown Road and Romfield Drive, in the Finch Avenue and Keele Street area, after an SUV crashed into a tree.
Police said a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder was heading northbound on Derrydown Road at Killamarsh Road when the driver failed to negotiate a curve on the road causing the SUV to mount the curb and strike a tree.
A 46-year-old man passenger suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital where he later died.
Thi Ngo is facing multiple charges including impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and criminal negligence causing death.
